About the Centre: Staff

Alison Beale is currently Associate Dean, Faculty of Communication, Art and Technology, and Professor in the School of Communication. Her research interests include: Globalization and cultural policies; cultural trade, commmunications regulation; feminist research in cultural policy; cultural policy as cultural practice.

Catherine Murray is currently Chair of the Department of Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies and Professor in the School of Communication at SFU. She has published on the media infrastructure for multicultural diversity, place-making as cultural policy, creative spaces and on workflows and flexicurity: Canadian labour in the era of the creative economy.
